Miles of scenic walks on the on the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path and cycle paths await you, as do some of the best water based activities. There is so much to be discovered, from the islands rich culture and heritage and wonderful gardens to the unusual ‘moonscape’ landscapes that are home to an extraordinary amount of plants and wildlife.
Much of the coastline has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and come rain or shine each of the fabulous beaches offer something for everyone – vast stretches of sand, safe swimming for the kids and windswept bays where a bracing walk and rock pooling are the call of the day.

There are five lighthouses around Anglesey that are operational. These are Trwyn Du, Point Lynas, Skerries, South Stack and Holyhead Breakwater. There are also several redundant lighthouses on Anglesey, the most famous of which are on Ynys Llanddwyn (Llanddwyn island). It is possible to visit all of these lighthouses while enjoying our cottage with the exception of Skerries.
Anglesey is famous for its dramatic coastline, home to numerous stunning beaches, all easily accessible from the cottage.
Whether you want a soft golden sand, a rugged pebble & rock or simply a grassy dune beach, there is something for everything.

The Isle of Anglesey is not a large island, at just 260 square miles, but that doesn't mean there aren't places to explore on foot.
For the hard-core walkers, the 130 mile Anglesey Coastal Path circles the whole island and takes in some 20 towns/villages on route, including Benllech, however with an average time taken of 12 days to complete this may not be for everyone. Taking in just small portions of the path, starting just a small distance from our cottage, will truly show the islands beauty.

From Bull Bay in the north of the island, Storws Wen, Henllys & Baron Hill to the East, Llangefni in the centre of the island and Holyhead, The Beach and Anglesey Golf Club to the West, here at Traeth Arian cottage you're never far from your first tee shot.
